RNs/LPNs with a background in diabetes care needed
The Central Ohio Diabetes Association organization has openings available for RNs/LPNs with a background in diabetes care. Duties include, but not limited to performing health/wellness screenings, providing basic diabetes education, and conducting prevention courses in the community. Clinical supervision and applicable insurance provided. Pay based on experience. All positions are PRN, per diem.
Camp Medical Staff
In addition, one week summer positions are available for LPNs, RNs, EMTs, and Paramedics to staff both day and residential children’s diabetes camps.

Camp Hamwi Staff Descriptions
Program Positions
Arts and Crafts Director. Responsible for planning and leading craft activities that are geared to the ages of the campers. Organize and maintain the supplies and equipment needed for the arts and crafts activities. This position is combined with cabin counselor responsibilities.
Horse Wrangler. Responsible for organizing and administering safe and meaningful horseback riding program geared to the ages, interests and abilities of the campers. Maintain general care of horses, equipment and stable area.
Lifeguard. Responsible for basic pool maintenance and cleaning. Responsible for overseeing the safe administration of water related activities whether in the pool or canoeing. Acting as lifeguard for all aquatic activities insuring the safe enjoyment of these activities for all participants.
Cleaning Person. Responsible for basic cleaning of main buildings of camp. Clean on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; in the morning on Tuesday and Thursday (start between 9 AM and 10 AM) and in the afternoon on Saturday (after 12:30 PM) for an average of 4 hours a day (possibly 5 hours on Saturday since the Nature Center is be to cleaned that day).
