Alexis Baker                                                                          $1,000             Alexis is attending Wittenberg University in the field of Education/Dance with the career goal of teaching.   Alexis has served on the Central Ohio Diabetes Association’s Youth Committee from 2006-present.  She has attended Camp Hamwi as a camper and participated in the Counselor-In-Training Program.  Alexis has worked as a Cabin Counselor and Lifeguard since 2009 and was a Camp Hamwi Lifeguard in 2009.  She has performed public service announcements for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association and is on the History of Camp Hamwi DVD.   Due to Alexis’ dedication and service to the Women’s Board and Central Ohio Diabetes Association, she will receive a Linda Wolske Fund Honorary Scholarship.

Kyle Grimm                                                                           $1,000           Kyle is attending the University of Toledo in the of Computer Science Engineering with the career goal of being a Medical Programmer.   Kyle has attended Camp Hamwi as a camper and participated in the Counselor-In-Training Program. He has worked as a Cabin Counselor at Camp Hamwi.  He also is involved with the Students for Diabetes Awareness Education Group.  Kyle will receive the Tim and Glenda Huffman Community Service Honorary Scholarship.

Kristen Miller Kilbarger                               $1,000             Kristen is attending the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine with the goal of becoming a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine-pediatrics. Kristen has participated in several community activities.    She will receive the Drs. Steven and Patricia Gabbe Honorary Scholarship.

Zachary Novotni                                                       $1,000             Zachary is attending Mount Carmel College of Nursing with the career goal of Nurse Practitioner.  Zach attended Camp Hamwi as a camper and worked at Camp Hamwi since 2009.

Kristine Perry                                                            $1000              Kristine will be attending college to study in the field of law with the career goal of Immigration or International Human Rights Lawyer. Kristine has participated in the Swim for Diabetes for many years.  She is a member of the Central Ohio Diabetes Association Youth Committee and the Central Ohio Diabetes Association Women’s Board.  Kristine has attended Camp Hamwi as a camper, a Counselor-In-Training, Cabin Counselor and has volunteered for Kids Camp and Stepping Stones. Due to Kristine’s dedication and service to the Women’s Board and Central Ohio Diabetes Association, she will receive a Linda Wolske Fund Honorary Scholarship.

Steven Caleb Walls                                                   $1,000             Steven is attending Ohio University Grad School in the field of physical therapy. Steven has participated in several community activities.  Steven will receive the Gene and Shelia Smith Honorary Scholarship.

Brooklyn Howes                                                        $500                Brooklyn will be attending Marietta College. Brooklyn has participated in several community volunteer activities including a big sister for a younger child with diabetes.

Sierra Weber                                                                         $500                Sierra will be attending Shawnee State University in the field of nursing. Sierra has volunteered for several community activities and attended a diabetes camp.

Lacey West                                                                            $500                Lacey will be attending Muskingum University in the field of pre-med with the career goal of General Surgeon. Lacey has participated in several community activities.
